Capital Academy and the American University in Dubai Structure Co-Certification

Capital Academy and the American University in Dubai (AUD) have structured a co-certification framework. Under it, Capital Academy's professional certifications will be co-issued with AUD.

The framework brings together Capital Academy's co-founders, Michel Chabbouh, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Fadhel Al Kahtani, Co-Founder and Chief Academic Officer, with the American University in Dubai under the leadership of its President, Dr. Kyle Long.

Why a university partner

Professional learners want more than a course completion badge. They want a credential that employers recognise and trust.

The American University in Dubai is a licensed and accredited university, recognised in both the UAE and the United States. Working with AUD gives Capital Academy's certifications academic backing and an independent standard to meet.

How co-certification works

Under the framework:

  • Capital Academy designs and delivers the learning, including classes, assessments and final exams.
  • AUD works with Capital Academy on certification standards and oversight.
  • Learners who complete a certification pathway on the eligible plan receive a professional certificate co-issued by Capital Academy and AUD.

This is a professional certification, not an academic degree. It is designed for professional development, career readiness and credibility in the job market.

Starting with CPFM

The Certified Portfolio & Fund Manager (CPFM) pathway, unveiled last month, is the first certification structured for co-issuance with AUD. Further certifications will follow the same framework.

What comes next

Capital Academy will now expand the ways learners study within each pathway, adding new learning formats alongside its cinematic video lessons. Explore Capital Academy certifications.
